ok my friends got me back into yu gi oh so for my first new cards i decided to buy this and was worth it!!!the new synchro monster and tuner monster remid me of fusion and ritual summoning and with all the new synchro monster coming out you will want to buy this starter deck first!!!

I will justify the rating because the cards themselves aren't that durable unless you keep them in sleeves, which I would strongly encourage you to buy before you start dueling. As for the deck itself, for all good duelists, starter decks like this normally get taken apart and salvaged for the cards that are needed. I think this particular deck helps out a lot with that, especially if you want to start synchro summoning right away. This deck provides you with some decent tuner monsters and three synchro monsters right off the bat to get your new synchro summoning deck off the ground; A few awesome traps and interesting spells as well. I highly recommend this deck to advanced as well as beginning duelists, and for anyone interested in synchro summoning.

If you want some of the cards from the new series Yu-gi-oh 5D's this starter is a great introduction to the cards together with the New Genesis Booster Packs! Many of the cards the main character Yusei, uses, is included in this starter deck, in all 43 cards, several great new synchro type monsters with the silver-white design. You need to get sleeves togther with this and allso boost it with cards from other booster packs, like "New Genesis" for instance. The "synchro" cards looks great in silver sleeves.You need sleeves to protect your cards from wear.You allso get afew of the "tuner" type cards.
Sleeves are not included but 1 game mat and 1 rule book is.
You allso get afew classic new releases of older cards. This deck has high value, you get alot of cards several very powerful and many brand new cards in this deck, for a very low price, however only one for each/deck, if you want two copies or more of each card included in the starter deck, you need to get two or more starter decks, for instance, some of the cards included works best when you have 2 or 3 in your deck, like "Giant Germ" (not included), allso this is a warrior theme deck, so having several "Marauding Captain"(included) will boost it's power alot.

Great starter deck. I was surprised at what the deck itself had inside, the new spells and traps are pretty awesome and the Synchro monsters just make it even better. I would go as far to say that every yu-gi-oh TCG fan should buy this set. The concept of the deck is simple and quick to catch on, and it's a good deck to start off with unlike some others. Overall, I say this is a must buy.
