Not your run-of-the-mill stuffed animalJan 02, 2010
By Jenni Hadden My boys, currently aged 7 and 10, have begged for Ugly Dolls for the past few years. They yipped with delight when they found them under the Christmas tree this year and have insisted on bringing them along just about everywhere since then. This enthusiasm comes from two kids who think many popular toys are "stupid" or "babyish." Here's a stuffed animal that seems to delight a wide range of ages among both genders; we know of preschoolers as well as teens who have and love Ugly Dolls. The dolls' designs are fun, idiosyncratic and inspire the imagination. Each one suggests a certain creature, but is nondescript enough to be whatever the child imagines it to be.

My daughter loves these dollsOct 19, 2009
By CK My daughter (well, my daughter and my wife as my wife refuses to reliquish Moxy) has 17 of these dolls so far and loves every one of them. For inquiring parents, these dolls are void of anything that your child can pop off and swallow = safe. They are creepily charming and have hilarious little bios that go with each one. We remove the tags for the baby, of course, but save them so she can have them when she is old enough to read.
Great Toy...Keeps Our Monsters AwayDec 20, 2009
By Erin D. I love the durability of this toy. I'm not sure how much fun it is, but my daughter enjoys Poe. We got him to keep the monsters away from my daughter's room at bed time. So far, it has worked!
