Settlers of CatanNov 11, 2008
By M. HOPKINS This is a really fun, interesting game. It takes a while to learn and understand, but it's challenging enough to keep my interest. The add-on packs make it more complicated and interesting.

Catan Expansion Sets Cities, Seafarers, BarbariansJan 17, 2011
By dave Catan is a great game with many many hours of fun for the right group. If you like complex rules and strategies with 2-4 people then you'll groove on the manuvers of this expansion set to the original Catan world. Seafareres and Cities both are fun expansions on thier own, but played together they are even better. I recommend playing each one alone 1-2 times and then playing them as a set. My 12yr old also likes it better with a little ecomonic stimulus package at the start, an extra settlement and trade route for example, then we tweek rules every other game or so just to keep on our toes. Overall tons of family fun.
great variationsJan 09, 2012
By regular_guy I've played every variation except traders and barbarians so far and enjoyed everyone of them. Can't wait to integrate it into game play.
Great Game!Oct 20, 2011
By DEllen This is a great family game. We play with friends all the time-and it can get pretty heated sometimes! The pieces are all cardboard, which is a little flimsy, but you just have to take care of it! The barbarian in the cities and knights expansion is the same ship as the pirate in seafarers. Other than that being a bummer, we love it!
