Description:

Certainly every roleplayer has wondered at times if doing the D100 roll could be made easier. For example, by rolling one die instead of two (and having one always fall off the table). Now, thanks to the spherical object known as "Zocchi's Golfball" this goal is possible. Just roll it, wait until it stops, read the number and voila ! D100 made simple. Now from Q-workshop. This particular variant comes in black-white color combination.

2Two d10's are better than a d100Dec 21, 2009
By Ahmed J. Aldoseri "Tech"
I bought this item for a Cthulhu game that I'm currently playing with some friends. The Cthulhu system makes use of percentile dice for all checks that players make.

Although the design of this die is ingenious, it doesn't roll very well at all. It takes forever to settle on a number (it sits there rattling for about 4-5 seconds, unsure what number to land on), and makes a very strange noise when rolling. Since the numbers are so crammed on this small item they're somewhat difficult to read.

It also doesn't feel natural in rolling because of some weights inside of it. I think I'll just stick to rolling 2 d10's for percentile.

3A nice gimmick, but that's about it.Dec 17, 2010

This is nice as a "for fun" thing or as a conversation piece, but I don't think I'd ever use it in a game and I don't think most of the gamers I know would allow it in a game. As has been noted, the die is oddly built. Instead of being solid it has weights inside that basically turn it into a noise-maker on par with a child's rattle. It also has a very unusual look for a die. It looks like it's in a plastic case, but, no, that's the die.

It is basically a transparent plastic shell with weights inside. The seem on which the 2 halves are joined is very uneven and disrupts the balance of the die. As a result, the die drastically favors orientations in which the mid-line seem is nearly straight up and down. The die is nowhere near as outcome neutral as it needs to be and, therefore, its use is not fair in a game.

If you just want to be able to tell people, "I have a D100," then go ahead. Like I said, it's a fun conversation piece and people will like to look at it and play around with it. However, you're much better off with a pair of D10s when playing a game.

Pull this out as a laugh at your next game session. It works, but it rolls forever. For regular play just use d10s. For laughs, this is fun.
