I got these as a gift, and I must say they are very nice to look at. The design has been slightly updated, so the dice are slightly different than in the picture--the d4 is normal, with the numbers oriented toward the points instead of the corner edges. Also, the dragons seem to have a little more detail than in the picture, and are also thinner. The result is a more intricate-looking design that is minimally intrusive and has better visual contrast, so even the d20 is pretty easy to read. Some of the dice have tiny brown patches in a few areas, perhaps a stain from the ink, but it kind of makes the dice look like they're made of bone rather than plastic, which I think is neat. Dragonbone dice would be fitting for my D&D character.
These are beautiful dice, lightweight and durable. I look forward to using them and definitely recommend them.

Normally with a 4-sided die you read the roll based on the point that is upwards, and the numbers around each point therefore should match. However on this die they do not match, and you can have a roll that is simultaneously 2/3/4 for example depending which side you look at the upper point on. So while this dice set is absolutely gorgeous it is also useless (update: confusing) as a matching set because another 4-sided die is needed.
UPDATE: It appears this designer rather than using a point's numbers or the base side's numbers chooses to have it be "whichever number appears upright" -- which could be on any corner and not the same one around. This is a very unusual (unique?) system, and not one that is by any means readily apparent to even seasoned dungeon-goers.
