If your like me you where sad to see the old series go. I was surprised to see Hasbro do a pretty good job on their new line. It is using the old ideal of building one big character witch seems to work for them also. It does not have the comic book like thew old series but it does give you the history on back. The picture does not do it justice it looks much better in person. Very detailed very cool colect all six. You will not be disapointed.

4Planet Hulk (Hulk). Green and Mean.Apr 22, 2007

Having been shot off into space by a group of arrogant super powered individuals (just after having saved the Earth mind you) the Hulk's space ship went off course (way to go again Reed!) and he landed on the warlike planet Sakaar. Our gamma irradiated friend, weakened by the journey, is captured and soon becomes the famous Green Scar, the most popular warrior in the gladiatorial games. And of course during this story line the Hulk smashes a lot of stuff. It's all pretty good really. This figure is based on this specific story and this shows up the most in Hulks accessories. He comes with his helm, shield and spiky metal shoulder armor which are all designed to look like hard, red metal. His body is what you'd expect... big, green and covered in muscles. Note, that the one arm is silver which represents a gauntlet on that arm-this is not present on all figures. I don't think it's a varient as much as they just decided it looked better one way or the other and changed it mid-course. The head sculpt is new though and he looks determined to smash someone. Due to the new head sculpt the neck articulation is improved and he can even look almost straight up. This one is one of the more solid overall figures in this set. He comes with the amazing head and even more amazing collar of Annihilus.

As far as the build a figure (BAF), Annihilus, goes he is an interesting mix. We've kind of been out of the whole extra big BAF's like Galactus and the Sentinel and others for a while now but the past BAF's have been just as good and are still really big guys meant to be in scale with the 6" Legends figures (not that Galactus really was in scale. Hey Hasbro, a big Celestial would be cool). I'd give Annihilus 4 stars overall. He has a really good sculpt with lots of detail and a great assortment of articulation points. He has extra big leathery wings, a menacingly alien face, clawed articulated hands and a pink (?) torso and gloves. Did I say pink? That's the only thing about this guy. For a real threatening Negative Zone alien also known as The Living Death That Walks, pink seems like a pretty feminine color. But maybe he's secure in his masculinity. In some areas he was shipped with an alternate purple color rather than the pink to man him up a bit but it's still pretty weird. Oh, well. Just be careful, if you are a perfectionist, that you don't mix up different colored parts.

5A really good purchase for a comic fanJan 24, 2009

This Hulk figure is great. He has a lot of articulation(movable parts). He is really fun to play with your other figures. He is pretty durable too. I accidentally dropped him down my stairs and the worst that happend was he was stiff for a few minutes. That's it. Highly recommended for the comic fan and kid in you.

I admit, the picture doesn't look that fantastic, but the actual figure is very well made. It's durable, which is more than I can say for some of the last Hasbro-made Marvel Legends. A good figure all around.
