I like it!Dec 09, 2008
By Debbie I am an avid fan of the original Killer Bunnies game, so naturally I couldn't wait to try this game out. The first time playing it (all were experienced Killer Bunnies players) was a bit slow as we made our way through the new rules and format. The set up took a while and each players turn take a bit longer. However, second time around was much faster and more exciting. This new game eliminates a lot of the chance and luckiness factor of the original game. You actually have to work to get carrots; you can't just draw a choose a carrot card. There is much more strategy involved. However, this game is much longer to play than the original, so if time is a factor it's something to keep in mind. The playing cards are in the same wacky nature as the old game, with references to sci-fi films and shows that sci-fi fans might appreciate (I didn't get all of them :-)) All in all, I would say this is a great game and a worthy investment for Killer Bunnies fans and game enthusiasts!

Totally addicting, I LOVE it!Feb 28, 2011
By KFace My husband and I just bought this game last week and we are hooked! Patience is a must...we had a friend who is experienced in the original KB game come help us learn how to play and even then, setting up and learning the rules took just as long as playing the actual game- it took nearly 4 hours. The rules are a bit complicated (there are 2 manuals in the starter pack alone) and need to be referred to throughout play as you are still getting used to it, anyway. Once we got the hang of it, a game with 3 of us using all 8 carrots took less than 2 hours. I don't suggest this game for younger kids and I do suggest you put your cats in another room while you play if they tend to jump on tables- there are a TON of little pieces on just as tiny spaces. Like I said, we only had this game for a week and we are already looking to buy the booster packs. If you are looking for a game/hobby, this is what you want!

Creative and Fun, If Sometimes FrustratingJan 17, 2010

This game's greatest strength is its fine balance between strategic turn-based play (every player must play cards for two turns ahead of the current round, for instance) and the arbitrary luck of the draw, which could perfect or doom any almost strategy. I recommend this game more highly for gamers familiar with the original Killer Bunnies games. Though my family and I picked up most of the cute sci-fi references the first time around, the gameplay learning curve is precipitous: our first game took us several days spent paging through two lengthy though detailed manuals totalling over fifty pages. I trust it will be much more fun and smooth the second time around, should we ever want to bewilder a houseguest or test the limits of our patience. That said, it was certainly an adventure and a style of game we had never seen before, which was refreshing!
A wonderful addition to the Killer Bunnies universeNov 02, 2011

Killer Bunnies and the Journey to Jupiter is a more complex version of what you already know. If you're a hard core fan of Quest, then you'll likely enjoy Jupiter as well. In this version there is a board game component that adds to the complexity. Some of my friends prefer Jupiter and some of them prefer Quest. Jupiter is likely a longer game because of the addition of the board and the complexities that comes with. But it's a ton of fun. With things like this, I just tell people to buy it and try it. If they like it, great. If not, you can easily resell games like this on Amazon or eBay.
Killer Bunnies ROCK!Jan 20, 2011
By Tigerakp I have used Amazon to purchase my whole collection of Killer Bunnies games/expansion sets. We have a small group of friends that sit around for hours and hours playing Killer Bunnies and the Journey to Jupiter and also the first version....Quest for the Magic Carrot. It's hilarious fun! We are never in a hurry to finish; even when a game takes more than 6 hours to play. Just this starter set is great for quick gaming, but you will soon find yourself addicted and eager to purchase ALL the expansions so you can enjoy the multiple hours of fun and laughter with your friends.
