5Helicobacter pyloriJul 01, 2009

This cuddly creature serves as a teaching tool and reminder of the revolution in the management of peptic ulcer disease. This little bug garnered a Nobel Prize for the two physicians who discovered it and its relationship to gastritis and ulcers of the stomach and duodenum. Great for show and tell. Also a great conversation piece. I have already had several comments and questions as to what this is. I only wish that the shape was a little more spiral and the color more gram negative. Well worth the price for those in the medical sciences.
