Helicobacter pyloriJul 01, 2009
By R. Griffin This cuddly creature serves as a teaching tool and reminder of the revolution in the management of peptic ulcer disease. This little bug garnered a Nobel Prize for the two physicians who discovered it and its relationship to gastritis and ulcers of the stomach and duodenum. Great for show and tell. Also a great conversation piece. I have already had several comments and questions as to what this is. I only wish that the shape was a little more spiral and the color more gram negative. Well worth the price for those in the medical sciences.
Ulcer's best friend!!!May 19, 2011
By Mel I gave this as a b-day gift to a gastroenteroligist I work with. Just look how cute this little guy is! Did you know that 2 docs INFECTED themselves with H pylori to prove that it could cause ulcers?!? Whew!
