Fun for scientists great and smallDec 11, 2011

"Mother Dragon"
Giant Microbes continue to be a great quality product and fun! We have been collecting them for a few years, based on themes of interest at the time. My college-age daughter is studying to be an Environmental Health Specialist (like me) and has a particular interest in these toys and the microorganisms they represent. This latest one, Toxoplasma, is apropos because she just got a kitten! Gotta "catch" them all!

This was actually the first GIANTmicrobe plushie I ever ordered, and I couldn't be happier with it. While not exactly the flashiest compared to the others, I personally think it is the cutest. It is obviously meant to be catlike (due to where it's found in nature), and the body of the plush is covered in fibres that are a bit softer and longer than on the other plushies. The information card is very, well, informational, and it was great learning more about this interesting little protozoan. This is a great gift for cat lovers or those who just love learning about the microscopic world!
