Cute except...Dec 27, 2011
By Raquel The thing is adorable but the only thing is it's not quite like the picture. It's missing one of the branches. See the customer who posted their own photo and compare to the picture. Slightly less impressive.

Just for fun..May 23, 2010
By betsy I only purchased this item on a whim. Being allergic to Penicillin made this a fun idea. I imagine an actual child might have different ideas about it. I wouldn't purchase it for a teenager unless he/she expressed an interest in science, microbes and ect. For young children, around 8-13, I think something like this would be great for the imagination; a good way to introduce the concepts of life too small to see with the naked eye. As for its durability, with younger children I couldn't think it would last long under high strain play. A dog would have it apart in less than 1 minute, too, so it should stay away from pets. I'm glad I bought it, though I imagined it was bigger. Overall, as an adult, I like the idea of giant plush microbes. They are fun and would be useful for teachers. I won't be collecting them all, but I'll defiantly enjoy this one!

plush penicillinAug 30, 2008
By Darci R. St Onge My son really loves to play with these microbes. He chose antibiotics and white blood cell as well as bacteria and has battles between the good and the bad microbes!

Cool microbe!Dec 09, 2011
By Matroskin I got this toy as a stocking stuffer and I am pretty happy with it. Its not big at all (well compare to the actual size its a giant :-) ) and will be great inside the stocking. I think it does have less tentacles than the one on the picture. Overall I give it 5 stars all around because its unusual and interesting way to learn about microbes plus the eyes make it adorable.

Most interesting shape for a stuffed animalDec 29, 2010
By FlyingPolarBear Of all the giant microbes I purchased as Christmas presents, this one I found to be most interesting. It is larger in person than appears in the photos. My nephew carries it around everywhere with him!
