5Educational, sure---but FUN!Dec 28, 2009

I originally purchased E. Coli as an unusual gift for a stuffed-animal lover. Soft, funny-looking, and educational for the little kids. I guess they did learn something after all, because when I wiggled it at my son one day he yelled back "He's not in me! I had turkey for lunch!"

This year I bought Salmonella for my daughter who is always asking to lick the cake-mix spoon with the raw eggs in it!

5I love giant microbes!Nov 18, 2007
By Sher "recreationalchefsher"
any science geek would love these guys. We keep E. coli on our bathroom shelf to 'greet' our guests. We actually have 5 different microbes scattered about our home. They've sparked more than their fair share of amusing conversations. Our 10 year old neice (possibly another budding scientist) also loves them.

5Giant Microbes!!!!Aug 20, 2009
By Ammar Alabbad
When microbial organism magnified 100000 times their original size, the result is a creepy creature that looks like something from the outer space. Although these creatures are very tiny in their sizes, they are actually so harmful to our health. Now you can have these expanded living things as plush toys right on your desk to nudge you that we are not alone in this cosmos.Giant Size Microbes.

4So creepy that it's cute.Jan 20, 2012

I bought this for my microbiology loving friend. My first impression was that it was a little smaller than I expected for the price, but feels very well made. The only quality problem I have experienced is some inconsistent braiding on the flagella. The ends seem very well glued, though, so I doubt it will become a major problem.
I'd reccommend these stuffed germs to anyone that's interested enough to be viewing this page.

P.S. The cords on my toy are the same brown color as the eyes, not pinkish like the picture. Added bonus. :)
