Adorable.Oct 09, 2010
By Tom Brody I have about ten plush toys from GIANT MICROBES. BED BUG is the only one that is more than a mere novelty. BED BUG is the size of an adult's hand. What is most striking is the champagne pink color of BED BUG. I simply cannot stop looking at BED BUG. The color is truly intriguing and unique, and brings to mind some of the subtle colors found on automobiles featured in custom car shows. BED BUG is blue-eyed, with dilated black pupils. BED BUG also has six scarlet legs and two scarlet antennae. BED BUG also has fur that is short and soft. Hence, BED BUG can be used as a stroking device, for providing gentle massages to acquaintances or to family members. Although I have purchased E. coli, Listeria monocytogenes, chlamydia, flesh-eating bacteria, chicken pox virus, penicillium fungus, and a couple of other plush toys from GIANT MICROBES, BED BUG is the only one that I keep on my computer desk. Actually, I had earlier been thinking that I would develop an attachment to one of the GIANT MICROBES bacteria, in view of the fact that I have published over a dozen research publications on various bacteria, including E. coli, Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella typhimurium, Lactobaccillus casei, and others. But I have only developed an attachment to BED BUG. Maybe, in retrospect, I should have conducted laboratory research on bed bugs? Perhaps it is not too late. Maybe I should write a grant proposal on bed bug research.
I love these!Jan 20, 2012
By Christy Jane I got this one for my 16 year old sister. I am 19 and we both have a few! We love them to death! They are fun and interesting and very soft! Also, they are not scary or gross at all! Absolutely love them!

I am not sure how accurate to actual microbe/insect the shape of these are, but my kids love them. They are cute, soft, fuzzy replicas of different pathogens, parasites (and some good guys).
Great PrizeJul 06, 2011
By milkm23 These are great prizes for science fairs or any class related project. I gave them to the top three place finishers in the New York State Science Olympiad "Microbe Mission" event. Both the MS and HS division winners loved them equally with the HS kids possibly more so.
The only bedbug you'll ever want or need!Jan 14, 2011
By E. H. P. Killeffer I got three of these as fun Christmas presents for friends and they were just delighted with them. Bedbugs are a bit of a joke among the four of us, so these plush critters were received with much good humor. I should have ordered one for myself! The company also makes plush versions of other organisms and they are all just as cute as, well, a bug's ear. They are suitable for kids of all ages, in my opinion, and very reasonably priced to boot.
