5Great dice!Sep 13, 2010
By DrOct
These are great dice! If you've seen Lou Zocchi's youtube videos about dice you know that for him making dice is SERIOUS BUSINESS. These are very well made, and do seem to roll a bit more randomly than my other dice (though it's entirely possible that it's just confirmation bias, and they just seem more random) and it's pretty fun that they glow in the dark.

Inking them myself wasn't too hard, just be sure you have a super-fine permanent marker and have a paper-towel ready to quickly buff out any mistakes you make before they set in (not too hard but does take a fair bit of rubbing). I got some advice elsewhere that was pretty good: Start with the d6 or d4 and work your way up to the d20. The numbers are bigger on the lower sided dice, and you'll have a bit more forgiving canvas to practice on before getting to the much smaller numbers on the d20.

The only problem I have with this set is that it comes with only one d6. This isn't really a huge problem but I'm a bit of a traditionalist and I feel like any set of dice should come with at least 3, preferably 4 d6's. I'll be ordering 3 more d6's soon.
