Gamescience Dice have always had mold marks. The dice are far more regular in their size and more fair in their rolls than other dice.
Yes, it's hype, but the hype has been proven with the exception of the early d100s (Zocchihedron).
No, I do not know why the mold marks do not affect the dice rolling significantly. And no, I am not associated with Gamescience other than being a fan of its dice.

Mould nubs were overly large, often in places that WILL affect die rolling, and were accompanied by divots and chips. Die faces are all concave. The extra work sanding and then buffing these dice is far more than indicated by their website and will likely destroy any "fairness" in the dice. These are not worth the money in any way
