Die that will generate numbersJul 27, 2010
Yup, bought these great translucent die. There are 7 of them in various shapes that generate numbers for whatever games you are interested in playing. I bought them for Naval games. They are advertised as organe but they look more honey colored which is really cool.
Little did I realize these die can do so much more, however. I threw a randum number hoping to be able to sink the Bismark during one sea campaign when suddenly a hole opened in my ceiling and a swirling motion not unlike the type experienced when you drain a sink ensued. Well, it sucked all my cats, furnature, the T.V. and the DVD player into some wierd alternate dimension. I quickly grabbed the die and threw them again. This time the process reversed and the hole began to beltch various wierd items as strangely shaped humanoid life forms, strange machines and what have you onto my couch, kitchen table and floor. well, that really was a problem. I quickly opened my back door and began throwing these beings out into my back yard which happens to be a desert. They ran off towards the Marine base yelling and blasting gas out of their rear ends as they jogged off. After this, I became bored and went off to grab some sleep. I guess the swirling void thing eventually tuckered itself out as it was gone when I came back the next morning. I think I'll sell the rest of that wierd junk that fell in my living room on ebay or something. Anyway, buy these die ok. The company that sold them are cool dudes, its just that they don't tell you these die has...uh...other properties.

The following review will be the same for all the differing colors of ChesseX Polyhedral 7-Die Translucent Dice Set.
ChesseX offers eleven (11) different colors of 7-die Polyhedral sets, one of the best selections of gamer dice offered and excellent for each player to have their own distinctive set. I prefer the green, but have a blue set as well. But with so many choices it is easy to pick your favorite or an easy compromise.
I prefer the translucent to solid color die mainly because there is something bout the slightly luminous background of the translucent plastic that sets off the black numbers better, making them easier to read and providing a more pleasant gaming experience.
Accuracy on random number generation is important. I got my undergraduate statistics students to test the ChesseX die with 1,000 throws, and the quality report came back: EXCELLENT. These are die that throw random numbers from their possibility set.
The slightly rounded edges make for clean throws and firm resting stops, although the inherent composition of the plastic makes them bounce pretty easily off a Formica table. These die work better on cloth surfaces.

These are excellent dice for role playing games. Just the right size and easy to read. I bought a few sets of different colors.

I have been very pleased with all my dice purchases from this seller. Dice are of low price, but also good quality. The many available color options allow everyone at my DnD table to tell their thrown dice apart easily.
